Have you ever had one of those mornings where you wake up anxious?
That was my morning today. I pulled back the covers and while my coffee is brewing, I search for what I need.
Truth.
Waking from rest does not mean that it ends when you press the off button on the alarm clock. Rest is provided for anyone who enters God’s rest (Heb. 4:10).
Life is busy and without even trying, days are consumed with endless tasks. When seeking rest amongst business lately and the Lord has continually led me to Matthew 11:28-30. Being a visual person, I now I have this visual of me literally yoking myself to Jesus. We plow through the day together and He gives me peace as deadlines and appointments approach. I am following His lead and there is harmony in the chaos.
“The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Ex. 33:14)
I find the truth. Assurance that He will be with me today and I will not be weary. That’s a tranquil thought for this Monday morning.
